PACS is used by radiology unit in hospitals to communicate, archive and display medical images. In addition PACS also allows management of images and related information. The related information typically will be patient demographic information, radiologists report on the medical images. This package allows Doctors in a hospital or remotely located doctors to view the display of monitors which monitor vital signs of the patient in an ICU (Intensive Care Unit). The software interfaces with the monitors in ICU through USB ports (or serial ports or LAN) depending on the monitors. It collects data about all patients in ICU and streams the same to a server (in the hospital). Any authorized doctor can view this data by logging into the system.
